Founder William Cliatt, is an entrepreneur and a student of Georgia Southern University in USA. He, along with his partner Mark Yeager realized that real sports fans who wanted to talk sports do not find Facebook or Twitter the best platforms to interact. That’s simply because those platforms are geared towards common social networking where not all your acquaintances are sports fans. They conceived Balltalk as a social network application for and by sports fans.
How will Balltalk become a game changing platform for sports fans?
Team Vinfotech dwelt into the root of this challenge long and hard. We knew that William already had a plan in place. Our job was to attempt this project with an ambition of making it a sought-out social network platform. We then channelized our resources towards finding out how fans are interacting on social media, how comfortable they are about sharing and talking with peers on topics of sports, if they are particularly attached to certain social network features etc. We soon found that we could now create a social networking platform with features of social platforms but with a twist.
I want to have certain features that FB & Twitter have but it’s Live chat feature during games would make it stand out.
Through our robust framework, we can make it possible and credible.
Sports fans should be able to see score updates and discuss about matches, players and teams. They should be able to follow their favourite players/teams and make friends.
We would give an extremely friendly feel to the sports social network application so people would be attracted and engaged.
I want an extremely intuitive app that would truly evolve with the sports fans’ preferences.
We will develop a complete mobile application for sports social networking that would be easy to use and return to.
I am a soccer fan but not all my friends are so I want an exclusive app where only sports fans can interact.
I want a platform to share my own knowledge of soccer, golf and tennis with other fans.
I want to find more about my favourite sports stars on an application.
I want to follow only relevant sports feeds that would help me updated with my favourite sport.
Vinfotech helped plan a complete sports social network product where various kinds of users could interact and connect with fellow sports fans.
Conducted a deep study of various existing social media apps focussing on sports subjects.
We then studied various demographics using these social media apps for various purposes, the features that were more or less popular and the gaps. That helped us visualize the mobile app we were building.
We consolidated the finding of entire market research and user engagement results into a high-impact document.
We conducted a creative interaction with the client creating user profiles, personas and scenarios, which drastically propelled clarity of work and instilled confidence in both the teams.
We follow design-thinking methodology to wireframing. After an intense creative development workshop with our team, we presented quick 6-7 wireframes to William. He had the freedom to mix- match-add-delete-combine so we could finalize a wireframe that would work best for the app.
We consulted William constantly as our designers got busy with interface design to accommodate all that was important to conclude on one perfect design.
We prepared a working prototype without database to give the feel of a working model, to check on the application flow.
We developed an entire social network mobile application with easy sharing facilities to come to what it is today.
After testing the product first internally, we launched the beta version for users to test.
